BAJAUR AGENCY: The tribal elders and members of peace committees in Salarzai tehsil pledged, on Thursday, to speed up their efforts to resolve the local disputes through peaceful means in Bajaur Agency.
The elders made this important announcement while addressing a meeting held for the reconciliation between two warring tribes of Salarzai tehsil. The ceremony was attended by a score of elders, belonging to various tribes and areas of the agency, besides senior officials of political administration and members of peace committees.
The dispute between two tribes of Salarzai has lasted for several years and has left at least 10 persons dead , while injuring several others on both sides. Malik Muhammad Yar Khan, Muhammad Ali Khan, Malik Hifzoor Jan, Malik Nasar Khan Malik Ziart Gul, Mlaik Mursaleen Khan, Bajaur Agency Assistant Political Agent Muhammad Ali Khan also addressed the function.
