PESHAWAR: Police conducted a search operation on Monday and apprehended eighteen suspects, which also included five Afghan nationals.
The operation was carried out in the city’s Hayatabad area where police took into custody suspects and also confiscated weapons, drugs and cartridges from them.
Police claimed that they had arrested thirteen suspicious individuals from Hayatabad and also taken into custody five Afghan nationals. A machine gun, three pistols and a cartridge were seized from the suspects.
56 individuals have also been arrested from Hayatabad for violating section 144 that has been imposed in Hayatabad’s different check-posts.
